How we use information

We use information to provide preliminary estimates, evaluate solar and battery options, prepare proposals, respond to requests, schedule consultations, coordinate with installation and service partners, operate and secure the site, measure advertising performance, improve our services, and comply with law.

How information is shared

We may share information with service providers that support hosting, analytics, communications, scheduling, document storage, customer management, financing evaluation, and similar business functions. When you request a proposal or project, relevant information may be shared with installation, equipment, financing, and utility-processing partners as needed to evaluate or complete the request.

We do not sell utility bills or personal information for money. Advertising platforms may receive limited identifiers and conversion information to measure campaigns, subject to their terms and your browser or consent settings.

Utility bills and document security

When you attach a utility bill to a website request, it is sent to Alpha Solar CA as an email attachment through our email service provider. It is not published through a public document link. The attachment is retained in our business email and service-provider systems as needed for your request. You may redact account numbers and payment details before sending. Access is limited to authorized personnel and service providers who need the information for the requested assessment, proposal, or project. No online transmission or storage method is guaranteed to be completely secure.

AI website chat

If you choose to ask our AI assistant a question, your question and a limited recent conversation history are sent to Anthropic, our AI service provider, to generate an answer. Basic booking and bill-upload navigation can be answered without contacting the AI provider. Please do not type account numbers, passwords, financial account details, or other sensitive information in chat. Chat answers are general information and may contain errors; they are not a final design, quote, financing approval, or tax advice.

The separate “Upload a utility bill” form inside chat lets you review your file and contact details before authorizing delivery to our team by email. Those form fields and attachments are not included in the AI conversation or sent to Anthropic. Selecting a file does not send it; closing chat retains the draft on the current page, while reloading clears it. After accepted delivery, the form clears its local copy of the file and contact details.

This website keeps the chat conversation in the current page’s memory, not in a saved customer chat history. Closing the chat window does not erase it; reloading the page clears that local conversation. Our chat application does not email the conversation or create a lead automatically, and does not intentionally record chat text in application logs or advertising analytics. Our hosting and AI service providers may process and retain request data under their own policies and applicable service terms.

Scheduling a consultation

Our booking links and estimator scheduling step use Calendly. When you use the embedded scheduler, Calendly receives browser and device information; the name and email you entered in the estimator may be used to pre-fill the booking form. Calendly processes booking details under its own privacy policy. Opening the scheduler, chatting, or sending a bill does not create an appointment—you must choose a time and confirm the booking in Calendly.

Calls and text messages

If you provide a telephone number, we will use it in accordance with the permission presented on the form. Consent to receive automated marketing calls or text messages is not a condition of purchase. Message and data rates may apply. You may opt out of text messages by replying STOP.

Cookies, analytics, and advertising

We may use cookies and similar technologies to remember preferences, understand site use, prevent abuse, and measure advertising. Campaign information can include UTM parameters and identifiers such as GCLID or FBCLID. Browser settings and applicable consent controls can limit some technologies.

Retention
